Frontier Business Systems was formed in 1996 as the selling arm of Sansome Software. Frontier's main priority was as an intermediary between some of the larger clients who had purchased Creche-Mate (creche management software) to smaller clients. Some of the larger clients included Asda and Sainsbury Savacentre.

It was decided to merge activities under one umbrella name of Frontier Business Systems Ltd. In the year 2000, all activities of Sansome Software and Frontier Business Systems Ltd. came under the Frontier banner.

Frontier has now expanded to encompass all areas of EPOS/ EFTPOS and associated Hardware and Software and much demanded Web Package and Custom Web Services, enabling us to provide a turnkey solution for many areas of the Retail and Hospitality markets.
